About Your Provider
Tom earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology and medical technology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in medicine at the Physician Assistant Program of Western Michigan University in 1994. Tom is certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Tom has limited his practice to dermatology for over 9 years.
In 2007, Tom joined the Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center. Prior to joining DSSC, Tom provided competent and compassionate general medical care, including dermatology for thirteen years. He has extensive experience providing care to both adults and pediatric patients, and specializes in acne, actinic keratosis, biologics and topicals, eczema, medical dermatology, melanoma, rosacea, skin cancer screenings and warts.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys outdoor activities including gardening, bicycling, kayaking, hiking, and camping. He is also actively involved in his church. Tom has resided in Battle Creek since 1994 with his wife, Kimberly, and his son, Andrew.
