Rosacea is a common, long-term inflammatory skin condition that causes redness and bumps, most often on the nose, cheeks and forehead.
What is it?
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that causes redness or a rash. It is predominantly found in middle-aged or older adults and those with lighter skin tones. Often times, rosacea can often be confused with acne, an allergic reaction or eczema because of their similar symptoms. Rosacea appears as tiny, red, pus-filled bumps on the cheeks, nose, forehead and sometimes the eyes.
Symptoms may include facial swelling, dry, rough skin, clearly visible broken blood vessels, an enlarged nose and persistent skin redness.
