IPL Photofacial

A non-invasive treatment using high-intensity pulses of light to improve the color and texture of skin in order to eliminate age spots and sun damage.

What is it?

IPL® therapy is a cosmetic procedure that improves the skin’s texture, giving you a clearer and more even skin tone. This multi-pulsing light therapy treats sun damage, hormonal changes, skin pigment and vascular lesions found on the face, hands, neck and chest.

What to expect

During treatment, a handheld laser emits light pulses that penetrate the second layer of skin (dermis) and target your pigmentation irregularities. Once the skin absorbs the light, collagen production increases while dark spots and uneven skin tone are reduced. This results in brighter, clearer and more youthful-looking skin.

If you want to even out your skin tone and remove unsightly pigmentation issues, IPL treatment may be the solution for you. Please give us a call, and we’ll schedule a consultation with you at one of our Dermatology & Skin Surgery Centers that offers this service. Please note that this treatment is not available in all offices.
